While watching Dr. Phil (Mommy Rescue 911, March 7, 2011), I couldn't help but feel so grateful for Gman.  I see these married people who are just so mean to each other.  I feel sorry for them.

I think sometimes those closest to you can get treated the worst.  So I try to remember to say "Please" and "Thank you".  I'm polite to Gman.  I do special things for him and he for me.  We talk.  We laugh.  He is my best friend.  I love him and I tell him everyday and never let him doubt it.

We do have our ups and downs.  I hope we'll always be able to work through the down times.

We received a card at our wedding that said:
Marriage is like a garden.  You need to tend to it everyday so weeds don't creep in.

I think that sums it up.

Our school participates in GOTR.  (Training with girls to run a 5k)  We have always had 3 teams.  This year we had more girls than usual take an interest in the program.  In order not to turn any girls away more woman were needed to coach.

I'm not a girl.  I don't even have any girls.  I DON'T run ... still, I decided to jump on in and become a coach.

WHAT WAS I THINKING!!!

I have barely just started to walk.  I know ZERO about coaching ANYTHING.  I'm not a teacher.  I know NOTHING about pre-teen girls...... and really, how the heck am I going to walk (because I know I'm not running) a 5K - Before being approached for this I didn't even know what a 5K was.

As usual, I try to look on the bright side of things:
  • There are 3 coaches to each team of girls - This kinda takes the pressure off a bit.
  • Having worked in the school for many years I've gotten to know these girls.
  • When you are open to Him, the Lord takes you were you need to be.
  • Who knows, maybe I'll lose a few pounds along the way.
Wish me luck!

There just doesn't seem to ever be enough time for everything.

What would I do if I could stop time?

I'd go to a movie.  Start a garden.  Do some landscaping.  I'd get this house organized.  I'd paint some rooms.  I'd work out and always have time to make a quick and healthy meal.  I'd never leave work on my desk to finish up tomorrow.  I would blog about ALL those things that are rambling around in my head.

What would I do if I won the lotto?

Well, there's just not enough time to write about all that now.... maybe tomorrow.

What would you do with an extra few hours?
